This week I’ve been travelling around Netherlands in a boat. But it was not a touristic boat, it was a trip organized by my department in one subject about sustainability. They put 30 students from different departments (architects, industrial design, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, etc.); some Dutch and some internationals (U.S., Botswana, Tanzania, Serbia, China, Taiwan, Greece) and they offer visits, conferences and discussions while travelling around Netherlands.
Yes, it is incredible.
The visits: Amsterdam’s waste fired power plant, eco-friendly neighbourhood in Utrecht, Rotterdam’s port central office, Ministry of environment and spatial planning. The conferences and workshops about: energy (Shell), urbanism, construction, cooperation, transport, business ethics (Rabobank) some done for companies others for TU Delft teachers and PhD who came to the boat.
We had morning, afternoon and evening sessions. It was quite dense but really interesting and wonderful atmosphere. The most impressive was the conference of a head manager of the environment ministry about what are their plans about the renewable energy and the CO2 emissions, but that will be in another post. Right now I must run to the airport, next stop, London.

Baldiri!! Finalment he trobat el teu blog i també un momentet per miarme'l amb calma... Per cert, abans de seguir deixa'm dir-te que sóc la teva cosina, la Laura, per si això de Bdebarna ja no et sona gaire... Bé, doncs ja he passejat per aquest diari teu i he pogut conèixer, virtualment, la teva nova casa, els teus amics vells i nous i les teves aventures des d'aquest estiu.
