Yesterday was the big party of Netherlands, Koninginnedag (Queen’s day), is celebrated all over the country with concerts and people walking around dressed in orange colors. Moreover is free market day, so you are allowed to sell whatever you want; the streets are covered of old objects, all kind of clothes and kid toys.
In Amsterdam, the most crowded place, the city center is completely close to cars and tramways letting space to thousands of people walking around between market and refreshment stalls, concerts and party boats that are covering all the canals.
The usual really quite Dutch atmosphere change radically for one day, the party is crowded, loud and full of drunk people. I loved it.
