Coming back from Brazil, without time to get adapted to the cold weather of the Netherlands I went down to Girona last weekend. With my raid teammates we were organizing a raid for our friends, Raid Roig 08 .( Raid = endurance multidisciplinary mountain orientation activity ). For this raid the disciplines were running, biking, kayaking, climbing, archery and special activity.
It was a competition for teams of two people (18 teams on total) in which they don’t know anything about the route until they start, when we give them the map of the first sector. For every sector they have a different kind of map where there are the markers that they need to find.
So with all this complicated set up you can imagine that we were quite scared because of the strong wind forecasted for the day of the competition that forced us to change at the last moment the path to put the kayak sector in a better protected zone. As consequence we had not slept too much changing maps and checking that everything was ok with the new route.

Finally everything was great, clear sky, not too much wind, beautiful views and everybody tired and happy. At least the organization we were really happy.
I only have pictures, from the activities developed in Fortianell, where the participants were sleeping and took place the previous race at Friday night and the special activity of Saturday afternoon and from the climbing sector. I hope to collect the other ones later.
Now I’m trying to recover my energies while working a little bit in the Netherlands.

Are you training in Netherlands? What are you doing? I've taken up athletic training sessions again. I wait you in Barcelona, I'll race you !
